Description
FRANKIE Nude is one of my most versatile seamless styles for square, round or high necklines — the one I recommend when your dress fabric is unforgiving. The seamless, unpadded moulded cups have no pleats, bulky edges or seam lines that could show through satin, silk or bias-cut fabric.
Fitted correctly, FRANKIE lifts and supports your bust while the moulded cups provide nipple coverage without adding volume. The body smooths anything that might otherwise show under a slinky dress — including the belly button.
I gave FRANKIE seamless tanga-style briefs with laser-cut edges to further minimise VPL, and added a hook-and-eye closure at the gusset for bathroom convenience.

How the FRANKIE construction works — 01
FRANKIE's cup is made from a single piece of 1mm thin moulded foam — without extra padding — so it shapes the bust without adding volume.
I finish the top edge with a fine stitch rather than bulky elastic to keep the cup from being visible through unforgiving fabric. At the side, I secure the cup with a firmer band to stop it bowing outward under the arm. I attach the straps to the cup with gold-plated G-hooks and position the regulators at the front, where they are within easy reach should you need to adjust the strap tension for comfort.

FRANKIE's cup structure is provided by the moulding and underwire working together — the foam gives shape, and the underwire holds and centres the bust so it faces forward rather than bowing out to the sides.
There's no seam or pleat across the cup surface which keeps it from showing through fine fabric. At the centre, a medium-high bridge separates the bust rather than crowding it, and a small decorative bow finishes off the centre.

FRANKIE's low, open back extends below the natural waistline in an ultra-low U-shape, with no back band at all. A normal bra needs a band for counter-tension — without it, an unanchored cup has nothing to pull against and can lift away from the chest as you raise your arms or move.
My patented construction solves this by building the cup into the whole garment instead, joined at the centre back by a single seam so there are no bulky side seams or elasticated edges to show under your dress, and nothing detaches when you move.
FRANKIE's high-leg tanga brief has laser-cut edges to minimise visible panty lines, with a hook-and-eye closure at the gusset so you don't need to remove the whole bodysuit to use the bathroom.
Choose FRANKIE if...
Your dress is very slinky or shows every detail underneath
This is where I usually recommend FRANKIE. Its moulded cup has no pleat or seam that might show through slinky dress fabrics, and the high-cut tanga briefs help minimise a visible panty line.
Your dress has a square, round or high neckline
FRANKIE works particularly well with these neckline shapes because the balconette cup gives coverage without needing a plunge front.
You want proper underwired support without a bra back band
My bodysuits have no back band like a regular bra, so I use your body measurements to determine the correct fit. When it is fitted and worn correctly, it should give you the lift and support you would expect from a properly fitted underwired bra while keeping the back of your dress completely open.
You're worried about VPL under your dress
FRANKIE's tanga brief has laser-cut edges designed to lie flat against the body and help minimise visible panty lines under fitted or slinky fabric. If you prefer the same seamless cup style with fuller coverage, SIA is the closest option.
You need one bodysuit that may work under more than one outfit
I've recommended FRANKIE for customers who needed one bodysuit for a wedding gown and a second reception or occasion dress, where both outfits suited its construction. The seamless cup and interchangeable straps give you more flexibility when both dresses work with the FRANKIE cup shape.
You want bra-cup sizing rather than generic S, M or L shapewear
FRANKIE comes in 25 bra-cup sizes, with the size range tapering by band and cup availability rather than treating every body as the same proportion. I start with your usual underwired, non-padded bra size, then cross-check your waist, hips and torso length to choose the correct body size.
You want bust support and body smoothing in the same garment
The underwired cup supports and shapes your bust while the power-mesh body gives medium-to-high smoothing through the torso. The seamless construction and laser-cut brief edges are designed to keep everything as smooth and unobtrusive as possible under your dress.
You want a smooth, moulded cup without push-up padding
FRANKIE uses a very thin, 1mm moulded foam cup to give your bust coverage and shape without adding volume. It is not a push-up like a Wonderbra, and there are no pockets for adding additional padding.

Choose another style if...
Your dress has a deeper neckline.
If your neckline sits slightly lower than the FRANKIE balconette, I would suggest MAE as an alternative. While both styles have moulded cups, MAE’s cup sits deeper at the centre front than FRANKIE.
Your dress is cut very low under the arms.
SKYE is the style I created to solve this problem. It is cut very low at the sides and has two strap positions, which gives you more flexibility with a low-cut dress.
You prefer a high-apex bra shape.
If you know that a high-apex bra suits you better and will work with your dress neckline, I would usually point you to either my JONI or INCA styles. JONI is my high-apex minimiser style designed for high necklines, and INCA uses the same cup with full briefs.
You prefer a more structured bra cup.
FRANKIE has a thin moulded seamless cup. If you prefer more structure and support around the bust, I would consider MAE provided your dress fabric is not too slinky as the pleats on MAE’s cup may show through very slinky fabric. Send me a picture of your dress if you are unsure.
You want shaping shorts rather than a tanga brief.
If the FRANKIE seamless balconette/T-shirt-style cup suits you but you prefer shorts, I would look at SIA. SIA uses the same seamless balconette-style cup, but where FRANKIE has a tanga brief, SIA has full a brief.
Your dress is thick or fully lined enough to hide a cup seam.
The main reason I recommend FRANKIE for very slinky dresses is the seamless moulded cup. If your dress fabric is heavier or properly lined and a lace or seamed bra doesn’t show through, you have more freedom to choose another bodysuit style like JONI or INCA for their different bra shape.
You want more of a minimising bra shape.
If you have a fuller bust and specifically prefer a minimising shape that does not add volume, I would look at the JONI. It is the minimiser style I recommend most often for high necklines. JONI does have a fine vertical dart seam on the cup where FRANKIE’s cup is seamless, so check with me to confirm the seam will not show under your dress.

Will the FRANKIE work under my square or round neckline dress?
Yes — these are exactly the neckline styles I created FRANKIE for. I set the cup attachment lower on the sides than on my other bodysuits, specifically so it sits hidden under a straight-cut front rather than showing above it.
Is the FRANKIE cup padded?
No. The cup is a seamless balconette-style cup made from thin, 1mm moulded foam, which gives it shape and structure without increasing your bust size. There is no built-in pocket for extra padding, although you can add your own padding if you want more volume.
Can FRANKIE support a fuller bust — or should I choose JONI instead?
FRANKIE is available in fuller cup sizes up to a 34FF. When correctly fitted, it will lift and support, not just cover your bust. That said, cup shape and your bust shape matter as much as cup size. If minimisation and containment are your priority, and your dress neckline allows, I may recommend JONI instead. If a completely seamless cup or a square neckline is the priority, FRANKIE is usually the better starting point.
What's the difference between FRANKIE and SIA?
Only the brief. FRANKIE is a tanga, SIA is a full brief. They share exactly the same seamless balconette cup construction.
Can I wear FRANKIE under more than one dress style?
Yes. FRANKIE can work across more than one dress style when the necklines and fabrics suit its construction. I've recommended it to customers needing one bodysuit for two outfits — a wedding gown and a separate reception dress, for example — where both dresses worked with FRANKIE's square, round or higher neckline coverage and its seamless finish under slinky or unlined fabric.
My dress has cut-outs under the arms. Will FRANKIE work?
No. FRANKIE isn't built for dresses with a deep underarm opening as its strap attachment would show. I designed SKYE — with its dual-height strap placements — specifically for low underarm cut-outs.
How do I get the best fit and support from my FRANKIE?
There's a specific way to put it on that makes a real difference — what I call my "magic tip." Step into it from the bottom rather than over your head, then push the back down as far as it will go and bring the length through the gusset to the front. Pull the fabric up at the front, from your hips to your underwires, so the wires sit directly under your bust. Bend forward and scoop all your breast tissue in from the sides and underneath, up into the cups, then adjust the shoulder straps — loosen them if they're tight, since the straps should only be supporting the cups, not the whole bodysuit. Done this way, it should feel like your best bra, with the body fitting like a glove. The mistake I see most often is pulling the back up rather than pushing it down; for the best balance, the back should sit in line with your hip bone.
Will FRANKIE's cup show through my dress fabric?
FRANKIE is specifically designed to minimise this. The cup is seamless with only the edge finished with a thin stitch. There are no pleats or seams across the cup surface to create visible ridges under slinky dress fabric.
Can I return it if the size or fit isn't right?
Yes. FRANKIE is returnable within 30 days of delivery.
